Portlaoise ospital is the best performer so far this year at 19% of total discharges taking place over the weekend, followed by Portiuncula Hospital at 17.6%.
The figure in Mullingar is 13.5%, and 12.7% in Tullamore.
This comes following an agreement being reached between the HSE and trade unions, which will see consultants and other staff work weekends.
