The group is saying hundreds of people will be left unrepresented and unsupported.
The group that represents LGBT+ people in the midlands is set to close down due to a lack of funding.
Midlands LGBT+ Project are making the announcement after they learned they were unsuccessful in applying for funding from the Department of Equality.
The Project say they represent 15 social and support groups across counties Laois, Offaly, Westmeath, and Kildare, amounting to around 200 people per month.
Without the specific funding from government, the Midlands LGBT+ Project will close down on November 31st.
