Local representatives are expressing their excitement about the project.
A new state-of-the-art library and arts centre in the midlands has been given the green light.
The facility in Edenderry will benefit from the traditional features of a library, as well as a 150-seat performance hall, which will allow for musicals and plays to be shown.
The site is expected to receive €8m in funding in the next few weeks, as part of an investment into "shovel-ready facilities."
