A 64 year old man and his son were arrested over an alleged cocaine seizure.
A midlands man has died in Ecuador after being held in prison over a €600,000 drugs bust.
The 64 year old was arrested with his son at Guayaquil Airport after allegedly being found with 15 kilos of cocaine.
Authorities say they also discovered two firearms, ammunition, money, and multiple mobile phones.
The father and son were remanded in custody for trafficking illicit substances.
And the Irish Independent is reporting that the father died in hospital shortly after his arrest after a heart attack on August 6th.
