Maria Walsh is taking part in the event this weekend.

Thousands of people are expected to take part in the Dublin Pride parade tomorrow.

Organisers say it comes at a time when the liberties of trans and non-binary people are being threatened and taken away.

Hungary has banned its Pride parade and any celebrations or events showcasing homosexuality.

Midlands North West MEP Maria Walsh is marching in the banned Budapest Pride protest this weekend.

She says there are risks involved in attending the event:
