A Midlands MEP is challenging the European Parliament President's choice to stall a decision on a referral of the Mercosur trade agreement to the European Court of Justice.
Ciaran Mullooly confronted Roberta Metsola for delaying a vote to seek a European Court of Justice opinion on the EU Mercosur trade deal.
He insists that 145 MEPs have the right to request such a legal opinion under Parliament rules.
President Metsola believes the court referral could go ahead in January.
