MEP Maria Walsh recently put forward proposals for the 2028-2034 CAP framework, calling for gender equality to be embedded at the core of the new policy, with greater support for farmers’ wellbeing and rural development
She is also advocating for a ringfenced 10% funding allocation for young farmers, alongside secure pension arrangements for farmers nearing retirement.
