MEP Maria Walsh will join a Youth Policy Dialogue next Thursday on the challenges facing the next generation of livestock farmers and solutions to support generational renewal.
She is calling for 10% of the future CAP budget to be dedicated to generational renewal, while also improving access to land and finance, strengthening farm succession supports and providing greater support for women in farming.
She says discussions about generational renewal need to be turned into real world action:
