A Midlands MEP is publishing a report urging increased CAP funding for young farmers.
Fine Gael MEP Maria Walsh is leading Parliament negotiations on the Generational Renewal in Agriculture report.
Measures such as improved access to land, expanded land mobility schemes, and increased backing for female farmers are also proposed.
The report will be presented by MEP Walsh before the European Parliament’s Agriculture Committee on Tuesday.
She says a dedicated 10% share of the post-2027 CAP budget for young farmers is her main target:
