Westmeath Councillors took aim at him recently.
A Midlands Minister insists he still opposes plans for a 1,000 person capacity Asylum Seeker Centre in Westmeath.
It comes after four Athlone Councillors took aim at OPW Minister and Longford Westmeath TD Kevin boxer Moran for backing the government's actions on the issue despite being co-signatory on the original case against the State.
Minister Moran says he was legally required to withdraw from the case when he joined cabinet and that his commitment to the community and to the issue hasn’t changed.
He believes dropping 1,000 people into tents in a field isn’t a policy—it’s panic dressed up as planning.
