Renters in Offaly have been hit with the biggest increase in the region.
The cost of renting a home in the Midlands continues to rise.
An average monthly rent of €1,684 across Laois, Offaly, and Westmeath represents a 6.4% increase when compared to last year, according to the latest figures from Daft.ie.
Rents are up just under 10% in Offaly, 5.5% in Laois, and 3.8% in Westmeath.
Economist and author of the Daft.ie report, Ronan Lyons, says compared to a year ago rents significantly higher across the country:
