The money is going towards information and communications technology and minor work projects.
Just under €4m has been granted to schools in the Midlands region for 'Information and Communications Technology' and minor work projects.
The ICT grant is for the continued learning of digital skills in schools, the minor works grant is for maintenance and small-scale improvements to school buildings and grounds.
In Westmeath there's €1.4m, there's €1.2m in grants going to Offaly, while schools in Laois are in line for €1.2m.
