It's expected to increase the school's capacity by more than 100 students.
A midlands secondary school is set for a major expansion.
Approval has been granted a new three-storey extension to Coláiste Choilm in Tullamore.
It'll increase the school's capacity from 620 to 750 students.
The 2,000 square metre extension will provide general classrooms, specialist rooms, and two Special Educational Needs units.
The development will also include the addition of 21 car parking spaces, 150 new bicycle spaces, new footpaths and play areas, and alterations to the school's boundary wall.
