There's over 15,000 people homeless nationally.
There's been a slight decline in homelessness in the midlands over the course of the last month.
The latest report from the department of housing shows 314 adults and children accessed emergency accommodation in April.
219 adults across the region were reported as homeless by the housing department last month.
That's an 11% decrease since March.
However 95 children accessed emergency accommodation in April, basically unmoved from the month previous (96).
On a county by county basis, there were 87 adults recorded in Westmeath, 66 in Offaly, 45 in Laois, and 21 Longford.
The 219 combined total, represents 2% of the overall number of homeless nationally.
That figure now stands at 10,805, combined with nearly 5,000 children across the country means there are 15,580 homeless people in Ireland.
