The SEAI's annual report shows the increase.

There's been an 11% increase in the number of home energy upgrades in the midlands last year.

The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland's annual report shows Westmeath saw the highest number of upgrades in the region at 1011

That's up 16% on the year previous.

The figure is 882 in Offaly, also a 16 per cent increase, while the 894 upgrades in Laois represents just a 3% rise when compared to 2032.

Nationally, 2024 saw just under 54,000 SEAI retrofits.
