A Midlands Senator says he won't be supporting the modernising of byelaws for the River Shannon.
It comes following a meeting discussing updating byelaws for key waterways for River Shannon, Grand Canal, Royal Canal and Barrow Navigation to create a clearer framework improving safety, environmental protection and management.
The measures follow a two-stage public consultation process that drew over 900 submissions.
