Three sports clubs in the midlands have received €15,000 in funding to strengthen grassroots programmes and expand access to quality facilities.
€5,000 in funds has been awarded to The Heath Golf Club in Laois, Ballycommon GAA Club in Offaly and Westmeath's Mullingar Harriers.
Now in its fifth year, the €130,000 funding initiative will support 26 Irish sports clubs.
A total of €40,000 will be evenly distributed among eight GAA clubs, while €20,000 will be shared equally between four athletic clubs.
An additional €35,000 will be allocated equally across three soccer clubs, two rowing clubs, and two rugby clubs.
