Gardaí are at the scene.
Gardaí have issued an appeal to anyone who may have information relating to yesterday's security alert in Longford town.
They received two calls regarding suspicious devices in Longford Shopping Centre and in Dunnes Stores on the Dublin Road, resulting in both premises being evacuated.
However, no devices were found.
Gardaí say they're treating the calls as a hoax and are investigating all of the circumstances.
Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
