They're meeting to consider ending or extending the localised measures, which are due to expire on Sunday.
Independent Kildare South TD Cathal Berry says Laois in particular has had consistently low numbers of new cases over the past ten days.
He thinks they'll be more focused on the "epicentre" that's emerged in Kildare due "state failures":
