Midlands TD Turned Down Stay At "Five Star" Moscow Hotel And Meeting With Putin

He's revealed he was approached during his time with Sinn Féin.

A midlands TD has revealed he turned down a trip to Moscow and a meeting with Vladimir Putin.

Meath West Deputy, Peadar Toibín, says he was invited to attend a business conference, stay in a five star hotel and meet the Russian President in 2017.

At the time, Deputy Toibín was Sinn Féin's Enterprise Spokesperson.

The now-Aontú Leader explains why he declined the invitation:

Deputy Toibín says he now wants all political parties and independents to audit TDs and Senators to ensure no undue influence from Russia or any other country.
