Sixth year students from St Mary's School in Edenderry have been tending to gravestones in their local cemetery.

The next generation have been honouring previous generations in a midlands county.

A number of sixth year students from St Mary's School in Edenderry are being commended for tending to gravestones in their local cemetery.

The activity is part of Edenderry's Tidy Towns initiative, and their PRO and Fine Gael Councillor Noel Cribbin says he was impressed with the attitudes of the school's pupils:
