Midlands Teenager Waiting Five Days For Covid Test Results

The Edenderry secondary school student was swabbed last Sunday.

An Offaly student remains without his covid-19 test results five days after being swabbed.

The teenager was deemed a close contact of another case by his school in Edenderry last Friday and was tested in Tullamore Sunday afternoon. 

However since then his family have heard nothing from public health officials despite others receiving their results. 

His mother Alice Dooley- Doyle is happy with how the school handled it, but says the HSE's testing policy leaves a lot to be desired:
