Midlands To Receive Nearly €180k For Farm Safety And Wellbeing Projects

Laois will be the highest beneficiaries from the funding.

Nearly €180,000 in funding is being made available for farm safety, health, and wellbeing projects in the midlands. 

Minister for Agriculture Martin Heydon is announcing €1.18 million in funding for 46 projects nationwide focused on farm safety, health and wellbeing.

Laois is set to receive the highest amount across the midlands with €109,000 going towards five projects. 

Just under €38,000 is going towards two Westmeath projects, with one project in Offaly to receive €31,500.

Laois County Council    Portlaoise, Co. Laois Harvest of Health - €25,440

Melanie Downes | Horse Knowing Mullingar, Co. Westmeath Mental Wellbeing (EAL) Coaching with Horses - €19,940

Embrace FARM Mountrath, Co. Laois Grief on the Land - The Farm Loss Project - €19,000

Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers Association Portlaoise, Co. Laois Staying Safe and Connected - €18,900

HUG Equine Assisted Learning Moate, Co. Westmeath Equine Assisted Learning - €17,980

Alex Caraffi Ballinakill, Co. Laois Farm Stronger Series - €11,000
