Mullingar's Annmarie Alice McLoughlin passed away on Wednesday.
A Westmeath town has been left in shock following the death of a "bright and kind" Westmeath woman this week.
Mullingar's Annmarie Alice McLoughlin passed away suddenly on Wednesday following an accident.
Her family are well known in the area as the owners of the Annebrook House Hotel in the town.
She will repose at Gilsenan's Funeral Home today until 7pm, with her mass taking place tomorrow at 11am in the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar.
Local Councillor for the area Andrew Duncan says it's a tragedy for the community:
The Annebrook Hotel paid tribute on their Facebook page to Annmarie.
"As a family-run hotel, the Annebrook is closely connected to our local community, and we know many of our neighbours, friends, and regulars will join us in keeping the Dunne and McLoughlin family in their thoughts at this difficult time.
"Annmarie’s Funeral Mass will take place this Saturday 6 December. As a mark of respect, Berty’s Bar will be closed on Saturday morning and will reopen at 1pm".
