Midlands Town Missing Out Under New Policing Model - Fianna Fáil

The new model will see a midlands Garda Station without a Superintendent.

A midlands town has been "left out" under the new Garda Policing Model.

That's according to Councillor Frankie Keena, who raised the issue at the latest meeting of the Joint Policing Committee.

The new model will see Athlone lose its Superintendent, with that position in Mullingar set to take over responsibilities for both towns.
