A midlands woman is celebrating her 60th birthday by jumping out of a plane, in the name of charity.
Portlaoise's Sheila Parker is undertaking the challenge in a bid to raise money for Kolbe Special School.
The skydive is due to take place this Saturday, with donations available until April 11th.
The fundraiser's target of €500 has already been smashed, and has accumulated nearly €2,000.
Ms. Parker says she wanted to support Kolbe Special School by doing something out of her comfort zone:
Anyone who wishes to make a donation can do so here.
