Midlands Woman Recalls Seeing The Devastation Of 1999 Turkey Earthquake

She worked as a teacher in Turkey for years.

A midlands woman, who witnessed the devastation of the 1999 earthquake in Turkey, is raising money to help those affected by last week's disastrous events there and in Syria.

Ena Larkin worked as a teacher in Turkey for fourteen years and was in the country when they were struck by a quake in 1999.

More than 37,000 people have died across the two countries but the death toll is still expected to increase.
