Cian's Kennels are hosting the launch.
A new mobile pet therapy service is launching today at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar.
Set up by the charity Cian's Kennels, hospitalised kids will be allowed to have their dogs by their side.
Research has shown that animal-assisted therapy can reduce anxiety, improve mood, and provide a sense of security.
The Service will see trained therapy dogs to be with paediatric patients in Mullingar, on their recovery journeys.
