The Office of Public Works says its willing to consider providing scooters at Midlands heritage sites for people with mobility challenges.
Independent rep Carol Nolan says she's been contacted by her constituents over difficulties accessing sites such as Emo Court and Parklands near the Slieve Bloom Mountains.
However the OPW is pointing to concerns over public liability costs relating to the move.
