More than 100% Increase In Demand For LGBTI+ Services Last Year

The Midlands arm is encouraging people to keep contacting them.

There was a 113 percent increase in demand for an LGBT+ youth support service last year, according to new figures.

BeLongTo say mental health issues, coming out and gender identity were the top three reasons why people engaged with the service. 

LGBT+ young people made up just over half of all calls and messages received, with parents, loved ones, professionals and teachers making up the other half.
