The trial of a 33-year-old man accused of Ashling Murphy's murder continues this morning.
The first witnesses in the trial of Jozef Pushka, of Lynally Grove, Muklagh, Offaly, gave evidence yesterday afternoon.
It's the State's case that Jozef Puska confessed to being involved in the killing of Ashling Murphy and did so to a level of detail which that person would know what happened.
Mr. Puska denies the charge of murder.
Yesterday the jury of nine men and three women were shown seven maps outlining the scene and the various areas involved in the case.
The jury were told 25,000 hours of CCTV footage was harvested as part of the investigation.
Later they were shown a number of photographs from the scene.
Yesterday in opening the trial, prosecuting barrister Anne Marie Lawlor told the jury they would hear from two women who came upon the scene of the alleged attack on January 12th 2022.
It's expected more witnesses will be called this morning.
