More Women Being Affected By Long Covid Than Men

Children also make up a large number of those affected.

Women are disproportionately affected by Long Covid an Oireachtas committee has heard.

The research by Ireland Thinks was presented to a joint committee hearing on Social Protection by Galway-Roscommon TD Denis Naughten.

It suggests 12 per cent of women experience long Covid following a period of infection, while it's only seven per cent for men.

The Independent rep says there's also a large number of children who are affected by the condition:
