A motorcyclist has died in a crash in Offaly.
The man, in his 40s, passed away in the single-vehicle collision yesterday evening at around 6.45pm, at Mullaghatour in Belmont.
The road remains closed this morning and diversions have been put in place while Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct a technical examination of the scene.
Gardaí say a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
They are also appealing for witnesses, particularly those with camera or dashcam footage, to come forward.
