The incident occurred around 7:00 a.m. on the M6 near Rochfortbridge.
A motorist in the Midlands was seconds from disaster this morning after avoiding a collision with loose cattle on the M6 in Westmeath.
The incident, took place at around 7:00am on the M6 near Rochfortbridge, involving a car, a jeep with a trailer and a truck.
The Eastbound lane was initially closed before loose cows found a way onto the Westbound lane.
County Secretary of Meath GAA Ciaran Flynn, was travelling past the scene when a Bullock jumped the concrete barrier separating the two lanes and landed in front of his car.
