The Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar is warning its Emergency Department is extremely busy today.
People are being asked to keep services for those who need them most, with a number of patients already waiting for admission.
According to the Irish Nurses' and Midwives' Organisation, 14 people are waiting on trolleys this morning.
