Mum Faces 400km Weekly School Run For Next Four Years

An eight-year-old boy isn't allowed to get on the same bus as his twin brother.

A Meath mum is facing a 400km weekly school run, for the next four years, even though seats are available on the local bus.

Marie Devine's eight year old twins attend classes in Clocha Rince - James qualifies for free transport because he has special needs but his brother Michael does not.

The Ballivor woman offered to pay for his ticket but that too was refused.

She's appealing the decision to the Children's Ombudsman - and hopes common sense will prevail:
