Sameer Syed was due to stand trial today for murdering his family.
The case of a man accused of murdering his wife and their two children has been closed before the Central Criminal Court after he was found dead in the Midlands Prison last week.
Sameer Syed was due to stand trial today for murdering them at the family home at Llewellyn Court, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16 in October 2020.
Before closing his file, the judge was told An Garda Síochána and the Irish Prison Service are investigating the circumstances of his death.
Outside court afterwards, Superintendent Gordan Woulfe said there will also be a full inquest into his death:
