Almost 1,900 premises in Laois can now pre-order high speed broadband.
Under the National Broadband Plan, over 7,100 homes, farms and businesses in Laois can avail of high speed connection today.
The 1,900 new premises included are spread across Ballylynan, Cloneybeacon, Dunbrin and Luggacurren.
€49m will be invested into the county by the Government under the National Broadband Plan.
Peter Hendrick, Chief Executive Officer, National Broadband Ireland, says: "We are delighted to announce that Laois premises in the Ballylynan area can now order high-speed broadband services through the National Broadband Ireland network. This will enable users to experience the life-changing benefits that high-speed broadband provides."
