Nearly 500 Patients On Trolleys

20 of those are in the midlands.

488 people are waiting for a bed in hospitals around the country this morning.

INMO figures show 379 are in emergency departments, while 109 are in wards.

20 patients are on trolleys in the midlands today, 11 of which are in Mullingar Regional Hospital, with the remaining nine in Portlaoise.

University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected by overcrowding today, with 87 patients on trolleys.

That's followed by 43 at University Hospital Galway, and 40 at St. James's Hospital in Dublin.
