Over 500 people are currently waiting for beds in hospitals.

The Health Minister says hospitals must improve the rate of weekend discharges.

504 people are waiting for beds in hospitals around the country this morning.

Six patients were on trolleys in the midlands today - three of those were in Mullingar, with the other three in Portlaoise.

University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected by overcrowding, with 96 on trolleys.
