Work is underway to transfer the land for the facility over to the HSE.
Negotiations on a new Primary Health Care Centre in the midlands are almost finished.
It was confirmed earlier this year the new facility will be based on the Portlaoise Road in Mountrath, next to Mighty Mol's Filling Station.
The land is owned by the Government Housing Agency and work is underway to transfer to site over to the HSE.
