Westmeath County Council and Brennan McCann Developments are welcoming applications for the houses at Coola Meadows in Kilbeggan.
The scheme has a mix of 2 bed and 3 bed units for sale starting at €265 thousand euro.
The total discount available to the buyer will depend on the applicant’s circumstances, with household income and mortgage capacity being considered when calculating the reduction.
Westmeath County Council will retain an equity share in the property equal to the percentage discounted from the overall sales price.
Successful applicants can buy out the council’s share of the property at any time within 40 years of the date of purchase.
The online portal for Phase 2 of the scheme will go live on Monday, 31st August at 12 noon.
The portal will remain open for applications for 3 weeks from that date, closing at Midnight, Sunday 20th September 2026.
