A new Cathaoirleach and Leas Cathaoirleach have been elected to Offaly County Council.
Independent Councillor John Leahy is taking the council chair for the upcoming year after being nominated by Fianna Fáil Councillor Peter Ormond and Independent Councillor Sean O'Brien.
He is taking over the position from Audrey Hennessey Kennedy of Fianna Fáil.
Independent councillor Sean O'Brien will be taking up the mantle of Leas Cathaoirleach in the county.
He was nominated by Fianna Fáil Councillors Declan Harvey and Frank Moran.
