Some buildings in Laois could soon be getting facelift.
Owners of premises on French Church Street/Market Square and Main Street will be able to apply for grants to improve their facades later this month.
The grant scheme is worth €750 or 75 per cent of the full cost of repainting.
108 properties are included in the designated area.
The scheme is also being opened to 40 premises in Lyster Square, Lyster Lane and Bull Lane in Portlaoise.
