New Historian In Residence Appointed In Westmeath

He'll be working on commemorating the events of 1920.

A new Historian in Residence has been appointed in Westmeath.

Mount Temple's Ian Kenneally will take up the role until November.

He was editor of the very popular weekly series, 'The Revolution Papers', as well as working on a host of documentaries.

The goal of the residency is to provide the public with a trustworthy and enlightening source of information on Westmeath during 1920, as part of Westmeath County Council's Decade of Centenaries programme.
