A large midlands housing development has been given the green light.
John Flanagan Developments has received planning permission for 148 new residential units on Tyrell's Road in Tullamore.
It will include the provision of 90 houses, which will be a mix of one or two-storey buildings, ranging from two to four bedrooms.
Plans for 20 apartments are also featured in the development, as well as 38 age-friendly assisted living units.
The construction of a creche will also be an aspect.
Offaly County Council granted planning permission subject to 26 conditions.
