He won the election with a 55.8% share of the votes.
The incoming IFA preseident says he wants to see farmers represented and unified.
Ballinakill's Francie Gorman is due to take up the position in January, after scoring over 16,600 votes from across the country.
He'll take over the role from current President, Toomevara's Tim Cullinane.
The beef and sheep farmer has previous experience as South Leinster Chair and County Chair of Laois.
Mr. Gorman says the role is about managing whatever issues come up in a proactive and determined way:
