New Laws To See Government Send Asylum Seekers Back To Britain

New laws are being drawn up to allow the government to send asylum seekers arriving here from the North back to Britain.

The UK's 'Rwanda Act' has led to growing tensions between Dublin and London, with a meeting between Justice Minister Helen McEntee and UK Home Secretary James Cleverly being postponed.

The Irish Refugee Council says the number of people moving here should be viewed in the context that the UK is not a safe country for those seeking international protection.
