Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly, formally opened the new facility this afternoon.
A new ambulance base in the midlands has been officially opened.
The National Ambulance Service facility is based on the Delvin Road in Mullingar, and was opened by the Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly.
The multi-million euro base is designed to facilitate rapid response times and vehicle maintenance.
