New Order Means County Council Meetings Can Operate Fully Online

Councillors couldn't vote on statutory matter remotely during the last lockdown.

Coucillors in the midlands will be able to vote on statutory matters remotely following a new order from the Department of Housing and Local Government. 

Monthly meetings will be carried out online in order to adhere to level five restrictions coming into effect tonight. 

There was no such provision during April and May, causing many reps to complain that local authorities couldn't fulfill their purpose.
